Pocos días después de comprar mi primera Rolleiflex, paseando por una casa en construcción, me detuve ante unas maderas apilonadas en un rincón. Entre restos de encofrados y puntas de alambre sobresalía del caos aparente una escalera armada con restos de tablones. Comencé a tomar fotografías de techos volados, vigas, mallas y clavos. Este libro es un homenaje los albañiles, héroes anónimos de la construcción.

A few days after I bought my first Rolleiflex, strolling through a house under construction, I paused in front of a pile of wood in a corner. A ladder made with some spare planks stood out among the leftover timber and wire. As I continued on my way, I was surprised by the light coming in through a doorframe that led to nowhere in particular just yet. Improvised ladders had been set up here and there to pass buckets up and down. This is how I began to photograph roofs, beams, mesh, nails, and planks of wood.This book it´s a tribute to the workers, anonymous heroes of the construction.
