Serie realizada en Yucatán, México, en los alrededores del cráter de Chicxulub, generado por el impacto del asteroide de diez kilómetros de diámetro que cayó hace 65 millones años sobre la tierra. El impacto generó una energía equivalente a 100 millones de megatones, diez mil veces el arsenal atómico del mundo.

Desde entonces la lluvia, con su carga de ácido carbónico corrosivo, se fue colando por las grietas del impacto conformando hoy más de tres mil cenotes, muchos de ellos interconectados entre sí con túneles y cavernas que funcionan como ríos subterráneos.

La serie final consta de cuarenta fotografías, realizadas en cenotes perdidos en la inmensidad de la selva.

Sixty five million years ago a ten kilometers diameter asteroid impacted the earth, on the Yucatan Peninsula. The impact generated an equivalent energy of 100 hundred million megatons, the thousand times the atomic arsenal of the world.

The rain, with his carbonic corrosive acid, was slipping past for million years by declining shores of the crater generated by the asteroid impact. In Yucatán there are more than three thousand cenotes, most of them interconnected by tunnels and caverns working like underground rivers.

I have been developing this series for eight years in Yucatan, with random and tenacity. The final series has forty photographies, lost cenotes in the inmensity of the jungle.
